Nelson This statement means that it doesn't matter if everyone you know is doing bad things because it still doesn't make it right and you shouldn't follow other peoples footsteps if they're in a wrong path. For example, if  your in class and one of your classmates are handing out a paper with all the answers to a test that your about to have and everyone is getting one but you knw its wrong to cheat then you shouldn't follow what everyone else is doing. Having a good character is very important because it tells a lot about you.
