Pharmacist

Duties and Responsibilities: Pharmacists prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. They also control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.

Salary: The median annual Pharmacist Salary is $126,880 as of March 01, 2018.

Education: A doctor of Pharmacy degree is required in order to become a pharmacist in the United States. Before you enter the Pharm.D. degree program, you'll need to complete prerequisite coursework in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, humanities, and social studies.

Demand for this particular career: Most pharmacists work full time, although about 1 in 5 worked part time in 2016. Because many pharmacies are open at all hours, some pharmacists work nights and weekends.

Reflection: When I was younger I actually wanted to be a Pharmacist because it interested me.
