Plastic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: the responsibilities of a plastic surgeon include, meet with a patient to learn complaints, symptoms, needs and desires, and medical history. Then they diagnose the problem, suggest a medical procedure to correct it, and explain the benefits and risks.

Salary: The median annual surgeon makes $374,485.

Education: Most prospective plastic surgeons complete undergraduate degrees prior to attending medical school. Although bachelor's degrees in any major are acceptable, premedical students must complete certain prerequisite courses, including chemistry, biology, and physics.

Demand for this particular career: Physicians typically need a bachelor's degree, a degree from a medical school, which takes 4 years to complete, and depending on their specialty, 3 to 7 years in internship and residency programs.

Reflection: I would not want to be a plastic surgeon because it takes up to 14 years.
