Trauma Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: Many duties typically performed by a Trauma Nurse include the following: Provide careful Nursing interventions in emergency situations. Triage patients and evaluate the severity of the patient's injuries. Provide IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures.

Salary: Salary ranges from $54,000 for an entry level trauma nurse to $74,000 for a nurse with more than 20 years of experience. 

Education: The most common route is acquiring an RN degree along with a bachelor degree, and then earning a certification program in trauma nursing. An RN degree is a basic nursing program that takes 2 to 3 years to complete. It qualifies a student for the job role of a registered nurse.

Demand for this particular career: By the year 2024, the demand for nurses is expected to increase by 16 percent, which is much faster than the average for all occupations per the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Reflection: No, I would not want to be a Trauma Nurse because it doesn't interest me.
