X-ray Technician 

Duties and Responsibilities: X-ray technicians, also known as radiologic technologists, are medical support professionals who specialize in the operation of x-ray equipment. Before a procedure, x-ray technicians meet with the patient to discuss their medical history and answer any questions they might have. 

Salary: The mean salary is $58,520 

Education:  According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics , X-ray technician educational requirements vary by state; however, the federal government requires all of these techs to be properly trained. Certificate, associate's degree and bachelor's degree programs are available, with the associate's degree being the most prevalent.       

Demand for this particular career:  Individuals interested in this growing field need an associate's degree in radiology as well as state licensure to gain employment. Requirements for licensure vary by state. They also can earn voluntary certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Reflection: I wouldn't want to be a X-ray Technician
