Duties and Responsibilities: The job duties of a physical therapy assistant are, measure the patients motor function. Record strength and muscle performance. Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans. Observe patients and write progress reports.
 
Salary: The median salary is $45,290 USD
 
Education: Most physical therapists aides are trained on the job, but most physical therapist assistants earn an associate degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Some states require licensing and training. Employers typically require physical therapist aides to have a high school diploma.
 
Demand for this particular career: Physical therapist assistants, sometimes called PTA's and physical therapist aides work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists. They help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain.
